Finally have a LG600 that I can make and receive calls. Wanted to try camera feature for the holidays( instruction booklet is no help)
Took a few pictures and tried sending them to my daughters phone, Contract ATT not prepaid. Next day asked if she received and she did not. My granddaughter who has a phone and is knowledgeable in sending photos by email to web sites etc. as most teenagers do tried… A message “service denied” appears.
I call service dept. and was told defective phone , would send a new one but they would have to transfer units and tel # and activate the new phone they were sending.. I would be with out service for a least a week. Not acceptable. I called Corp. HQ and was told maybe my daughters phone carrier would not accept photos from my carrier.. Now don’t know who knows what they are talking about. Any help would be appreciated.

Anyway, I called Tracfone to have my numbers and minutes switched to the LG600’s. The minutes transferred, but not the numbers! After a week of battling them over this, I resigned myself to accepting the numbers that came with the phones. After notifying every person I know with the new numbers, I went online to download a few ringtones. To my amazement, there were no mp3 ringtones available!! Now I’m totally pissed off!! I created a ringtone, Bluetoothed it to the phone, but can’t get it to work. It shows that it’s an “.aup” file in the phone, and it’s saved in “My Stuff”, and won’t move to any other folder. Can someone tell my what type of ringtone files WILL work on this stupid phone??

And it could also have something to do with your SIM card – ATT SIMs seem to do data better than T-Mobile SIMs. Check out these posts for more info on that:

My question is about accessing the web. Only thing that really interests me would be weather and maybe a radar image when traveling. When I try to access the web (via the web button or in the menu) I get a message that says “You are not authorized to access the Mobile Web Browser. For assistance please call our Customer Care Center”.

So I take it that I actually need to contact support to get the browser to work or is it not possible to use the web on the phone?

As far as the LG 600g specifically, I was able to download a java-based version of Tetris. That’s all I tried. I downloaded the file from the web using my computer, then transferred the file to my phone using bluetooth. Next, I installed it by following the instructions on the phone after I opened the file from the phone. For reference, the game was a .jar file.

I don’t have a lot of experience doing this, however, so I don’t know much about how secure it is (or isn’t). In other words, I don’t know if you found a random game.jar file on the web, if you would be safe installing it on your phone. I don’t know what kind of harm is possible.
