I’ve come across a couple of bargains worth sharing here. First, I’ve recently learned from TracFone that they are offering a special discount code that applies to phone or accessory orders of $19.99 or more. This code expires October 31, so keep it in mind for any orders you might be placing over the next 6 weeks. Here are the details from TracFone:
“The code is good for an automatic $3.00 discount on all TracFone phones, phone + airtime bundles and accessories priced $19.99 or higher at tracfone.com. That’s a savings of up to 15%! Customers should enter ‘23444’ in the promotional code field during the check-out process to receive the discount.”
Also, TracFone is still offering free shipping on orders of $35 or more, so you can use this coupon code and “double dip” on the discounts. And, TracFone recently announced some great deals on a couple of phones. To check out more info on these phones, click here.
With this extra $3 discount code, I thought it was also worth pointing out a couple of deals that I’ve mentioned in the past, but some may have forgotten about. The first is the Motorola W370, which includes Double Minutes for Life but NOT the bluetooth or camera capabilities of the W376g version. The W370 can now be had for $19.99 – a great price if you want double minutes for life but don’t need all the extras. Check out this link for more details on the W370 deal. And if you do order, don’t forget to use coupon code 23444 when you check out!
Finally, another deal that I’ve mentioned in the past is the package including the 800-minute, one-year, double minutes for life card along with an LG 3280 phone for $99.99. This is an especially good deal since the 800-minute card alone is normally $140, so you’re saving $40 AND getting a free phone. The airtime card can be added to any phone, not just the 3280 it comes with, but I should point out that the 800 minutes will NOT double, even if you already have DMFL on your phone. For more details on this package, check out the page I set up here. And once again, don’t forget to use coupon code 23444 when you check out!

Which prepaid DMFL cell in your opinion is the best for voice and pix
Hi Ann
For voice quality and the occasional pic, I recommend the w376g. It’s an unfortunate set of trade-offs between that phone and the LG 600G, though. The LG is twice the price and has poorer voice quality, BUT it can connect to your PC via bluetooth. If you plan to use the phone for a lot of pictures (I would say more than 8-10 per month) that you want transferred to your computer for saving/editing/printing/sharing, then you’ll end up saving money in the long run by using the bluetooth to transfer files. The only way to do this with the w376g is to email them from the phone to your regular email account, which will deduct airtime units. You can also use the BT function to transfer your own audio clips to the phone for use as ringtones.
Finally, another advantage of the w376g is the availability of accessories – this phone uses the same type of battery, charger, and wired headset as the w175, w260, and w370. And Walmart has a special package available with an accessory pack for $9.99. Look for more info on this in a post within the next 24 hours.

A couple of deals at wal-Mart. The LG600 is now regularly priced at $49.97 (available on-line only, but can have shipped to store for free):

The W376 is selling for $29.97:

A note about the w376 – I don’t see that it mentions anything about DMFL in the Wal-Mart ad – will have to confirm in the store that this particular phone at this price still has this feature.
just picked up a w376 at K-Mart and it DOES come w/ DMFL. thats a pretty sweet deal for 29.95.
Just got a MOTOROLA w376g FOR $25 ON SALE AT kMART AND IT DOES HAVE DMFL. Excellent deal! Excellent blog keep up the great work
Hi PbushX2!
I just stumbled upon your site last night while researching Tracfones for my son who is going away to school. I LOVE YOUR BLOG! Very informative and save me a tremendous amount of time and effort. I wound up purchasing the Moto w376g for him (DMFL included-of course!). I also purchased a 200 minute card to get him started and will be taking advantage of the bonus minutes listed here on your site!
I thought I would share a CODE I received via voicemail message from TracFone on 3/20/09 —> with the purchase of 120 minute card , upon activation, enter code 45639 for 30 extra minutes!!!
Thanks again for your dedication and hard work!!!!

Hi Pixie
Thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing the codes. I’m happy to help others save, but it wouldn’t be possible without the interaction of so many visitors like yourself that take the time to share new information.
Hey Patrick
Just added the aircard I had [from a deal you and I made] 1 year DMFL and 800 minutes.
When it asked for a promo code, I used one from the list, it was accepted, but when they sent the minutes they had not included any bonus.
Is it worth the fight for 200 minutes?More than a phone call wold blow the 20 bucks in time and aggrivation!

Hi Gentle Ben
I apologize for the inconvenience. If you call customer service, I would say your chances of getting the minutes awarded are good. Just explain it to them as you have to me, and they should be willing to add on the bonus minutes. You might also want to consult the promotional code database to make sure that you have current codes. In case they tell you the first one was expired, you can say, “Well what about this one?” The website allows three tries to enter a valid code, so they should give you more than one try, if necessary, when you call the 800 number to get the situation remedied.
Now, having said all that, whether or not it is worth your time to call about the issue is a question that only you can answer. I’ve found that calling early in the morning, or near the end of their posted hours (8 or 9 p.m. eastern time, I think) results in a shorter wait time, if any.
Some of the offers are confusing. One offer is double minutes for the life of the phone. Does that mean my present phone only?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Dorothy
Your understanding is correct – for the life of your current phone only. If you get a replacement phone in the future, the Double minutes feature will die with the old phone. Most new models, though, include Double Minutes when you activate them.
