Hi Dorothy
Your understanding is correct - for the life of your current phone only. If you get a replacement phone in the future, the Double minutes feature will die with the old phone. Most new models, though, include Double Minutes when you activate them.

Some of the offers are confusing. One offer is double minutes for the life of the phone. Does that mean my present phone only?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Gentle Ben
I apologize for the inconvenience. If you call customer service, I would say your chances of getting the minutes awarded are good. Just explain it to them as you have to me, and they should be willing to add on the bonus minutes. You might also want to consult the <a href="http://pbush14.wordpress.com/2008/02/28/free-tracfone-minutes-with-bonus-codes/" rel="nofollow">promotional code database</a> to make sure that you have current codes. In case they tell you the first one was expired, you can say, "Well what about this one?" The website allows three tries to enter a valid code, so they should give you more than one try, if necessary, when you call the 800 number to get the situation remedied.

Now, having said all that, whether or not it is worth your time to call about the issue is a question that only you can answer. I've found that calling early in the morning, or near the end of their posted hours (8 or 9 p.m. eastern time, I think) results in a shorter wait time, if any.

Hey Patrick

Just added the aircard I had [from a deal you and I made] 1 year DMFL and 800 minutes.

When it asked for a promo code, I used one from the list, it was accepted, but when they sent the minutes they had not included any bonus.

Is it worth the fight for 200 minutes?More than a phone call wold blow the 20 bucks in time and aggrivation!

Hi Pixie
Thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing the codes. I'm happy to help others save, but it wouldn't be possible without the interaction of so many visitors like yourself that take the time to share new information.

Hi PbushX2!

I just stumbled upon your site last night while researching Tracfones for my son who is going away to school. I LOVE YOUR BLOG! Very informative and save me a tremendous amount of time and effort. I wound up purchasing the Moto w376g for him (DMFL included-of course!). I also purchased a 200 minute card to get him started and will be taking advantage of the bonus minutes listed here on your site!

I thought I would share a CODE I received via voicemail message from TracFone on 3/20/09 ---> with the purchase of 120 minute card , upon activation, enter code 45639 for 30 extra minutes!!!

Thanks again for your dedication and hard work!!!!

A couple of deals at wal-Mart. The LG600 is now regularly priced at $49.97 (available on-line only, but can have shipped to store for free):

The W376 is selling for $29.97:

A note about the w376 - I don't see that it mentions anything about DMFL in the Wal-Mart ad - will have to confirm in the store that this particular phone at this price still has this feature.
