TracFone w376g Price Reduced to $29.99

Available direct from TracFone

It seems now to be a trend that the prices available on TracFone’s site are a few weeks behind those offered at Walmart. Last week, TracFone reduced the price on its LG 600’s to match Walmart’s price, and now the same has happened with the w376g.

You can now get it directly from TracFone for $29.99, compared to the previous price of $49.99, and through the end of the month coupon code 23444 will save an additional $3 to bring your total down to $26.99.

Click here for more detail on the w376g.

At this price, you will still need to pay for shipping. However, if you add an accessory pack or another phone + airtime bundle to bring your total over $35, you will qualify for free 3-day shipping through FedEx.

For more details on this phone as well as the LG 600G, you may want to look at my reviews, if you haven’t already. They are both very nice phones, but have different strengths and weaknesses. Here are links to my earlier reviews:

Another Motorola Charger Option

Motorola Car Charger for just $.25, free shipping.

I just came across this deal and figured it might be helpful to some. If you are still looking for a car charger for the Motorola w serires of TracFones (w175, w260, w370, w376), this one should work. The list of compatible devices includes many other newer Motorolas, but the TracFones are not mentioned specifically. In my experience, however, chargers that work for the V3’s and other w-series phones, which are both on the compatible list, also work with the TracFone handsets. And for $.25 it’s worth a try, right?

Anyway, this deal doesn’t start until 6:30 p.m. Pacific time today, October 21st. Here are the details:

eforcity.com will have the Black Retractable Car Charger for Motorola V3 for $6.99 with free shipping. Use coupon code “MOTRETRACC” to bring the price down to $0.25 shipped (the coupon code will NOT work until 6:30 Pacific time tonight). You can pay with a credit/debit card, or PayPal if you prefer. Here’s the direct link to the product:

Finally, if you are interested in this item, be sure to log in as soon as possible after 6:30 PDT to make sure you get one before supplies run out. I’m assuming something at this great of a price won’t last long!

LG 600G Price Drop – $47 with free shipping

Last week I posted regarding the new price on the LG 600G at Walmart. Now, TracFone’s website has reduced it’s price to $49.99 as well. With TracFone’s free shipping AND a discount code for an additional $3 off, it’s now cheaper to buy directly from TracFone.

First, Click Here to find the phone at TracFone’s site. This order will automatically qualify for TracFone’s free shipping promotion since it’s over $35. When you are ready to check out, look for the promotional code box, and enter code 23444 to receive an additional $3 off. Select the cheapest shipping option (3-day ground), and your order total will be $46.99 plus tax.

Also, in case you need to review it, you can find my LG 600G review here.

Finally, in yesterday’s post I reported that some people had difficulty getting both free shipping and the $3 discount. After that post was released, I heard from a friend who knows a great deal about ordering from TracFone, and he had this to say:

When I [ordered] those w370s last month I put in the $ off code in the box. The top of the page said the free shipping code would be auto applied if the order met the criteria.
On the last page the order showed the shipping was added, then the shipping cost was removed, and the $ off discount was ALSO applied.
The free shipping auto-applies if the order is over $35; that leaves the code box empty for the $ off code. Perhaps some people don’t realize that when they choose the shipping method, there is a charge for that shipping placed on the order. Then if the order meets the $35 minimum, the shipping is taken off. It does not show as applying the free shipping code until the final page.
This info comes from someone who has placed many orders with TracFone for himself and friends who also use TracFone, and I believe that he is very knowledgeable about the process. Hopefully other readers will have similar success in double-dipping on these discounts.

Current TracFone Promotional Codes

TracFone Promotional Codes – Updated list

I’ve updated the TracFone promotional code database again.

Before I get into what’s new with the codes, I also have a new purchase discount promotional code – the kind that you use when ordering from TracFone. If you are ordering a phone and airtime bundle of $25 or more, you can use code 44477 to receive $5 off your order. In another recent post I had said that these discounts could be combined with the free shipping promotion that applies to orders of $35 or more. Several people have told me that they were unable to use both codes, however, so perhaps you’ll have to pick whether you want free shipping or $5 off your order. If anyone is able to successfully use the $5 off code AND still get free shipping, I’d appreciate hearing about it.

Now, here’s the summary of the newest additions to the database:

  • Code 52090 is good for 30 bonus minutes on a 120-minute card or larger.
  • Code 57122 is good for 200 bonus minutes on a 1-year, 800 minute, double for life card.

Other than those new additions, not much has changed with the code list. All of the best, most popular codes seem to still be working. There are a few codes that I’ve decided to mark as “expired,” but none of the best codes have expired lately.

Current Deals on TracFones

There are a couple of new deals available on TracFone handsets and airtime:
This info was provided courtesy of reader Ortizmro [Many thanks to him for this and his many other contributions to the comments section here, as well as Brian, who shared the news of the LG 600G deal].
A couple of deals at wal-Mart:
A note about the w376 – I don’t see that it mentions anything about DMFL in the Wal-Mart ad – will have to confirm in the store that this particular phone at this price still has this feature.
I first have to say ‘Sorry’ for not getting this post written sooner, because the the 600G is already sold out online. I don’t know if this price is also available in stores, but you may want to check. Or, perhaps it will be available again on the web soon.
As for comparing the price of the two Motorolas mentioned above, the w376g price is better than anywhere else I’ve seen it. I also don’t know why anyone would choose the w370 over the w376 when the price is the same. But if you don’t care about the camera, FM radio and bluetooth offered by the w376g, then you can still get refurbished w370’s  for $19.99 from TracFone’s site, as I described in a previous post. Use promotional code 23444 at checkout to save $3 off. If you order just the w370, you’ll have to pay shipping, but if you order two w370’s OR one w370 and a phone + airtime bundle, your order will also qualify for free shipping, in addition to the $3 discount.
If you end up ordering either of these from Wal-mart, you’ll have to pay $4.97 for shipping or you can choose the free “ship to store” option, and pick up your order at your nearest Wal-mart location.
I should also point out that I don’t know if these will be the new “regular” prices at Wal-mart, or if they are available only for a limited time. I’ll try to keep an eye on the prices and post if anything changes.
Finally, I know Shopko isn’t a national chain, but if you have a Shopko close by you may be interested in the deals from their latest sale, which runs through October 18th. They have the W376g for $38.88 ($9 MORE than Wal-mart’s website), as well as 60-minute cards for $18.88 and 120-minute cards for $27.88. And, if you happen to know anyone using Net10, you can pick up a 300-minute card for $27.88.
Thanks for reading! If you find any deals that I haven’t pointed out here, please share them by posting in the comments section. By sharing our knowledge, we can all save money!

Accessories for TracFone Motorola w175, w260, w370, or w376g

Universal Accessory Kit

I had recently heard of a great deal on an accessory kit for Motorola’s most recent TracFone handsets, and finally was able to confirm it for myself. Walmart is selling a $10 package that includes a TracFone w175, a car charger, a wired headset, and a belt carrying case. The nice thing about this particular accessory pack is that it can be used with any of the recent TracFone models from Motorola: the w175, w260, w370, and w376g.

The price is also right, as either the accessory pack or the phone alone could be priced at $10. If you already have a phone compatible with these accessories, you might want to take a look at this item for yourself. Pick up the whole package just for the accessory pack, and do what you want with the w175. This is currently TracFone’s entry-level model, but it’s a decent phone in terms of voice quality and signal reception. (I reviewed this phone when it first came out, and you can find the reivew here.)

Maybe you know someone that could use the phone, or maybe you’ll want to keep it as a backup. It’s also worth pointing out that the battery in this phone is the same as the battery in the other 3 Motorolas mentioned above. So, if nothing else, the phone provides a backup battery and extra wall charger.

Now a few notes about the accessories:

  1. The headset measures 40 inches in length. I’m a male of average height, and I found that this was just long enough for me to place the phone in my pants pocket and still effectively use the headset. Other headsets might provide longer cords, however.
  2. The carrying case is unusual in that the phone lays horizontal in the case. But I was able to confirm that the size of the case is appropriate for any of the Motorolas mentioned above.
  3. The clip on the carrying case is a sort of springy clip that slides over your belt, rather than a loop through which a belt can run. It seems to me that this type of clip might wear out earlier than you’d like.
  4. The carrying case closes with a magnet, which seems like it will hold up for a long time.
  5. For pictures of the whole package, including each of the accessories, look at this page.

Where to find it

Finally, if you are looking for this item at Walmart, you’ll want to look near the electronics section, but not alongside the other TracFones on the shelves. I found mine on a free-standing display in the middle of a main aisle by the electronics. Take a look at the pictures in the link above, and look for the boxed set.

If you are able to find this and want to share your experience with it, please do so in the comments section. Thanks!
