Thanks for the comments on the Micro SD card. I thought for sure you guys were missing some step or formatting the drive wrong. But it works just fine using FAT16 on a quality SD card. The same formatting on the card included does not work but can sometimes be seen as unusable space.

Its really confusing about why they would even bother including the card if it doesn't work at all. Stupid oversight nobody can figure out or fix. (-_- )

I recently bought two of these phones. One for me and one for my mom. Both work great with a few pros and cons.

--------

Pros

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE being able to make my own ringtones and graphics and easily being able to transfer them from my PC (only if you have SD card though).

The mp3 player is nice to have on a net10 phone.

This sure beats the old Nokia 1100 I had previously. :)

The speakerphone feature is nice to have.

--------

Cons

I got the Net10 special deal (free usb cable and 2GB SD card). :/ The cable worked fine, but unfortunately both SD cards (no-name brand) were dead on arrival. I went to Wal-Mart and got two "Sandisk" 2GB cards like the manual suggested and they worked like a charm.

The USB transfer is VERY slow. It takes me like 1 or 2 minutes just to copy one 7-8MB mp3.

I have yet to be able to pair these two phones together via bluetooth. I've tried everything. I enable bluetooth on both phones, do the find me thing, and have even tried several variations of [add audio device] (the only option there is). However, my friend, who has a smartphone with a different provider (I can't think of the exact phone), was easily able to find me and we were transferring files in no time flat, although it took like 10 minutes to transfer one mp3. Anyone else been able to pair two net10 phones together??

The buttons are a little stiff. Sometimes you have to press harder than you think you would have to.

You can only have like 5 or 6 custom ringtones, which kind of blows.

The camera takes like 10 seconds or so to save a picture when turned up to the maximum quality.

Of course, net10's customer support is horrible. You're better off not even calling them, unless you have a really simple issue. Sometimes they even manage to screw those up.

----------

All and all, even with all the cons, I am pretty happy with it. My old phone was pretty basic. If only I could get Net10 to give me an AT&T SIM card. I gave up on that many calls and emails ago. :(

Is it possible to return after activation?

How does the account / minutes, time rollover from a previous phone that failed (max number calls reached)effect the new current returned phone play out? Anyone know?

I have 60 days and 3000 minutes that was transfered to this new phone that i now want to return for one that doesnt have play in the slide? Is this possible?

Dallas - I was able to use a .jar file to install a couple of progrmas to the EM326g, but I so far have NOT been able to make it work on the T401g. I DID try USB on the T401g and, as you suspected, it didn't make a difference as compared to bluetooth.

1. You can try using the SIM card reader I recommended here:

http://pbush14.wordpress.com/2008/07/30/bonus-codes-updated-sim-card-reader-details/

2. You'll need a headset with a 3.5mm connector. This is the same size as standard headsets from ipods/mp3 players/pocket radios or whatever. You might also be able to buy a 3.5>2.5 adapter online or at a radio shack or whatever.

3. Try bargaincell.com, which I posted about today.

Does this phone allow to to copy JAR Java program files to it via USB or Bluetooth and run them like the LG600g?
If anyone has this phone and can confirm it will run JAR Java program files then please post a reply. Please don't just assume it can because it support Java because the Samsung t401 supports Java but won't run JAR Java files copied to it Via Bluetooth, I have not tried USB but I doubt that makes a difference because copying a file to it either way is the same, it's still on the phone and won't install if you select it and hit the OK or select buttons.

Thanks

I don't think you can syncronize to outlook - I think outlook just has more information associated with its calendar than the Motorola can handle. Even if the phone could process that info, I don't know of a way to sync it up -I've honestly never tried.

Bob -
I'm not quite sure what to tell you about that, because I didn't have that problem myself. A couple of ideas you might try:

1. try powering the phone off, then on again and try connecting again.
2. try connecting the phone to your computer while the phone is powered off.
3. if you have access to another computer, try connecting to that.
