TracFone Promotional Codes Updated

For the current TracFone Promotional Code database, click here.

I updated the list of codes, as of July 8th, and made a few changes. There were just a few codes that dropped off the list, including 62498, 53994, 51578, and 57122. These codes, are marked as expired, but left in with the valid codes because they have worked very recently. All older expired codes have been moved to the bottom of the list to avoid confusion.

I’ve added several new codes, as follows:

  • 17236 for 40 bonus minutes on a 200-minute card
  • 51540 for 50 bonus minutes on a Double Minute for Life card
  • 99121 for 250 bonus minutes on a double minute, 800-minute, one-year card

All of these codes are now in the database, in bold to indicate that they are recent additions.

I also have one code where I found mixed results in my research. Code 27076 had previously been awarding 50 bonus minutes on a card of 60 minutes or greater. I’ve seen some sources report that code as expired, while others say it is still working. If you happen to give that code a try, I would love to hear whether it works or not. Please post in the TracFone Promotional Code comments section.

Thanks!

Thank you for keeping up with the Tracfone codes! I don’t know that I would benefit from your eBook at this point. I’ve been using Tracfones for two years now and I usually purchase the 450 minute card and add the 30 and 60 minutes at the same time. With double minutes on my phone it adds up to 1080 before I add and bonus codes. My problem is finding decent bonus codes to go with the 450 minute card. When I was getting the 100 minute bonus it was great. The other problem is there are only a couple of models Tracfone offers that work in our area, so many “deals” just aren’t available here. I also wish Tracfone would offer a really big card, say 1500 minutes, for something like $210-$225. That would be down to 7 or 7 1/2 cents per minute after double minutes. One can only wish, sigh…

      Hi Elodie
I have been wondering if TracFone would come out with a bigger denomination, or if they are content to serve the market they already have and let any others go to Net10 or their newest brand, Straight Talk. If you missed the most where I announced Straight Talk, check it out here:

    Hey,
It’s been awhile since I’ve written here, but I constantly refer to your site as it is a fantastic resource. I tried the 27076 code with a 60 mins. card minutes ago, but it says that it expired.

Thanks for all of your time and effort towards this site!

Kyle – thanks for the kind words and for taking the time to report on your experience with using the codes.

Hello, I am new to even having a cell phone let alone trying t learn how to get the most of it. Please tell me how would I be eligable to get bonus codes? Is there only certain cards or telephones that would be appropriate for this? Is there a site for dummies that would explain this and other things for me like where would I be able to buy the stuff to use my camera feature of the LG600?

Lois – Any TracFone can receive bonus minutes, if you use a promotional code when you add airtime. Each of the available promotional codes is valid with certain airtime cards. For example, if code 55555 is good for a 450 minute card, and you add a 60 minute card to your phone, you would not be able to use code 55555 since it does not apply to a 60 minute card. But there are other codes that DO apply to 60-minute cards.

And you can use the camera right now – you don’t need any additional equipment. If you’re looking for a guide of some sort, check out this online manual for your phone:

Bonus code 14938 worked for me on 8/05/09. Thanks for posting those great bonus codes. Makes even more “cents” to have a TracFone.

can you have the same phone number on two phones

  6. 10 pbushx2 August 21, 2009 at 12:56 pm

Ron – that won’t work. Google voice does something kind of like that, by giving you one “hub” phone number that redirects to up to 5 different phone numbers. But two phones cannot be programmed with the same number.

:( Big bummer! With your double minute card Tracfone now does not double the minutes you PURCHASE in the “maximize your purchase” offered either on the web or over the phone. They have always doubled these minutes in the past. The web site has been changed and the box that comes up with the terms and conditions was not working.(Neither were any of the other boxes) I ended up calling to purchase the 450 minutes card instead. I have always ended up with 1,080 minutes since I purchase both the additional 30 minutes for $5 and the 60 minutes for $10 plus whatever bonus minutes I got from a code. I pitched a fit and said that I would be switching to a different company if I was not going to be getting fewer minutes for my money. They did double them on a one time basis. I’ve always paid down in the 8 cent per minute range. I wish Straight Talk was available in this area. I would snap that up in a heart beat!

      Elodie -
I think that there are plans to expand the Straight Talk coverage very soon. They did a limited launch initially in order to work out some of the kinks before making it widely available. But my understanding is that it’s been a commercial success in the initial roll-out, and they are definitely going to be expanding. At that price point, I think it’s going to be a BIG winner with consumers. I’ll plan to do another post about it as more info is available, but for now I don’t want to get people too excited about it before I have enough details.

Whoo hoo! New promo code for the 450 minute card, 44688 gives 80 bonus minutes. With DOUBLE MINUTES that brings the cost per minute down to 8.1 cents!
