I’ve recently become aware of a few deals going on now or coming up soon. The first only applies to some of the country, but it’s a great deal if you can find it. HHGregg stores are running a promotion with 50% off on all TracFone and Net10 phones. Some people have even found the new T401g for $39.99. Unfortunately, this applies only to in-store purchases, so much of the country is out of luck. If you happen to have an HHGregg store nearby, though, just about any handset is a great deal at 50% off.
The next deal I’ve heard about it through Sears, so it will be more widely available. They are apparently going to offer the Samsung T301g at 50% off, but only on “Black Friday,” the day after Thanksgiving. In areas where there is no GSM coverage, Sears may substitute the new LG 290c (TracFone version) at that price.
I’ve also heard speculation that the Sears deal may be available online in advance of the Black Friday sale, but I have not yet been able to confirm that myself.

Sears is indeed starting there Black Friday sales. I think they started at five yesterday and they end at noon (CST)today (Saturday). They will not be offering all of their special deals, but rather a select few. I’m not even sure if this is something they are going to be doing every weekend. Another thing is that in some cases you actually have to add the item to your cart to see the price (it can be easily removed if you wanted to remove it).
Also, they have a promo code of SEARS5OFF50 to save $5.00 off of a purchase of $50.00.
According to their Black Friday ad, the T301 will be $24.99. I tried adding to my cart online, however, it is not available for shipping so I can’t tell if this phone was the one included in this first batch of specials.
Yep, already picked up the T401g for $40 at HHGregg yesterday…they only had two left when I got it though…phew, close call.
The HHGregg 1/2 price sale has ended but there are reports of 1/2 price signs still up at stores. All phones are still on sale but not at 1/2. Net 10 website now has thwe 401G and 451C on sale, both for $79.99.
Kmart’s Black Friday ad is listing a Tracfone LG Bluetooth flip phone on sale for $19.99. I’m assuming this might be the LG600 although I haven’t seen the actual ad (I’ll try and hunt one up).
Also, they will be selling a Bluetooth headset for $7.99. Again, sorry to be so bland, but I don’t have a picture or model.
I have a LG660G. I recently tried to link a picture to a contact and received the message “write Error”. I have previously linked pictures to contacts. Anybody got any ideas about how to fix the problem? Will TracFone replace the phone because of this problem?
I would appreciate any input.

FYI The T401G is on sale still on sale (11/9) @ hhgregg for $39.99 w/300min The ad says tracfone but it’s the net 10. I picked one up today. The only thing I notice so far that’s troubling is I keep accidentally hitting the browser key and have already wasted about 10min. I really need to find how to lock that thing permanently w/o locking the entire keyboard. I think they sorta planned that one. it’s way to easy to bump that and waste a minute before you even know you did it.
